Nostalgia CD Packaging

As part of this project, I collaborated with Abigial Shipley, one of the artists behind the song "Nostalgia," to develop a design that captures the essence of childhood. Drawing inspiration from the song's references to playful experiences like "ice cream facials" and dancing on "daddy's feet," our goal was to evoke a sense of nostalgia for happy memories of youth. To achieve this, I incorporated a variety of handmade elements that convey a child-like aesthetic. While the design is playful and whimsical, we also aimed to balance the lightheartedness with the song's emotional depth. Overall, our intention was to create packaging that embodies the spirit of the song while honoring its themes.

By combing black and white photos with simple and fun doodles, there is a serious yet nostalgic feel to the packaging. For the CD sticker and liner notes, I used a notebook paper feel that contrasts with the other elements and gives another layer of the child-like feel. 

This work was featured in Celeste Pfau's juried student art show at Samford University.
